FRITZ!Box Cable and FRITZ!App TV are a brilliant team whose great potential is revealed when used together. The FRITZ!Box's built-in DVB-C tuners feed the free-to-air cable TV signals into your home network in both SD and HD quality. With the app you receive the data on your smartphone or tablet and can sit back and watch TV.
Simple configuration
It is child's play to configure the TV function of your FRITZ!Box Cable just a few simple steps. Just enter http://fritz.box in the address line and start the channel search under ‘DVB-C’ in the menu. The user interface of your FRITZ!Box Cable with TV functionality can be also opened directly from the FRITZ!App TV, which you can download from the App Store or Google Play, depending on your device.

Distributing TV via Wi-Fi
FRITZ! Mesh makes for improvements on several levels: A FRITZ!Repeater extends the coverage of your Wi-Fi network. This allows you to surf wirelessly even further away from the FRITZ!Box, for instance, on another floor of your home, or out on the patio. Since your FRITZ!Box Cable passes on the TV data received from the free-to-air cable connection (even in HD), the TV signals are also transmitted all the way to the furthest edges of your reception area.
Also possible on the computer
You can also watch television on a notebook or computer using the free VLC media player program.
By the way: Up to four TV tuners are integrated, depending on the FRITZ!Box Cable model. This means you can have live TV displayed on up to four devices in the home network concurrently.
The ingenious duo for the home network
The Live TV feature (DVB-C streaming in the home network) is supported by the latest FRITZ!Box Cable models.

FRITZ!App TV

The FRITZ!App TV is the ideal complement to the FRITZ!Box Cable: This app shows you all free-to-air channels offered by your cable provider at home on your tablet or smartphone.
